We're looking for a passionate Product Manager to drive the roadmap and strategic direction inside Spotify's Data Collection product area, in particular the ‘Data Leverage’ domain. As part of Spotify’s division that is dedicated to building out our world class data and insights platform you'll use data to create innovative products and create insights to enable robust evidence-based decisions.

In Data Collection we provide the tooling for our peers at Spotify to collect data, and make it available, timely, safely and efficiently. We handle more than half a trillion events per day and the solutions we build impact hundreds of Spotify engineers and data scientists and ultimately the user experience of hundreds of MILLIONS of users via more data-informed recommendations and an improved user-experience!

If you're curious about what users do and see when using the Spotify apps, and how they interact with them, you've found the right place.

What You'll Do

  • Define and drive overall product vision, strategy and metrics for the team in charge of UBI - User Behavioural data, helping Spotify become a recommendations-first product.
  • Build and prioritise the team's roadmap, through feedback, business needs and data collection methodologies.
  • As a technical product manager you will work alongside a dedicated group of engineers, data scientists, designers and product managers to identify and prioritize areas where the team can make a greater impact on the Spotify data community.
  • Partner with your Engineering Manager to foster a culture of impact and performance.
  • Work passionately to ensure your team is focusing on the right things, balancing short versus long term needs. A healthy balance of innovation, support and maintenance is key for all successful teams at Spotify.

Who You Are

  • You have experience with data driven product development and a technical background, either as an engineer or in a previous technical role.
  • You can translate your own and your team’s knowledge and experience into use-cases and prioritised work.
  • You've repeatedly demonstrated your ability to take end-to-end responsibility for a product’s success.
  • As an excellent communicator and storyteller, you enjoy communicating concepts and ideas in different formats.
  • You have an ability to operate effectively and autonomously across multiple teams in situations of ambiguity, with only high-level direction.
